Will I lose data in a reinstall? +
Without a backup, yes — a reinstall formats the system drive. That’s why before installing we **always** agree on what to keep and where to store the data. We back up to an external drive or the cloud.
Can you do Windows 11 on an older PC too? +
Yes, even on hardware without TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot (TPM bypass). If the computer has 8+ GB RAM and an SSD, Windows 11 will run. If it has 4 GB RAM and an HDD, we recommend Windows 10 (until EOL 2025) plus an SSD upgrade.
How much does it cost in total (with data)? +
A standard reinstall with a data backup is 1,990 CZK. If you also need an SSD install or a RAM upgrade, budget 3,000–4,000 CZK with parts.
What happens to my Windows licence? +
If you have an OEM Windows on the laptop label or a digital licence (linked to a Microsoft account), it’s preserved. The reinstall simply reactivates it when it connects to the internet. If you don’t have a licence, we recommend a legal purchase.
Should I reinstall, or get a new PC? +
It depends. If the computer is 8+ years old with a failing drive, low RAM and a dated CPU, then a new one. If it’s in good hardware shape and only the software is a mess, a reinstall is enough.
Can you do it in a day? +
We manage a standard reinstall in 4–6 hours (installation + drivers + updates + basic software). Drop it at the workshop in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon.
